Initial Type Ratings

A Type Rating is a regulating agency's certification of an airplane pilot to fly a certain aircraft type that requires additional training beyond the scope of the initial and aircraft class training.

Base Training

The Base Training completes the endorsement of the Type Rating on the applicant’s pilot license. The aeroplane training (Base Flight) may be completed after the trainee pilot has completed the FSTD training and has successfully undertaken the Type Rating skill test.

Renewals/Revalidations

To maintain a valid Type Rating, a Licence Proficiency Check (LPC) must be conducted prior to the expiry of the current Type Rating. If the Type Rating has expired then we will design a course of refresher training to satisfy Part-FCL requirements before the LPC.

MCC

The Multi Crew Co-operation is an allowance, an additional training in order to fly with other crew. This means in a multi-pilot aircraft with aircrew consisting of at least two members.
